Greer, I. G. (Isaac Garfield)

Isaac Garfield Greer (December 4, 1881-November 24, 1967) was an avid collector and singer of folk songs. From 1910-1932 Mr. Greer served as an history and government professor for Appalachian State Teacher's College, from 1932-1948, he worked as superintendent of Mills Baptist Children's Home in Thmoasville, N.C., and from 1948-1954 Greer was the Executive Vice-President of the Business Foundation of North Carolina.
