Campus Tours and Conferences was organized during the 1950's by Lester B. Whetton, as per the wishes of President Wilkinson. The Department was dissolved in 1973, and it's duties assumed by University Relations.

Gary Bascom was the director for Campus Tours during the late 1960's until it's demise.
Campus Tours and Conferences performed many of the functions now handled by University Relations.
