Baum, L. Frank
Variant namesLyman Frank Baum was born in 1856 on Chitterango, New York.. His education consisted of private tutoring at home, although he did attend military school for a time. He was a playwright, novelist, journalist, and author of books for children. He wrote a much beloved children's book called The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and also many other Oz books.
