Founded in 1979, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is a national nonprofit member organization with the goal of reforming the nation's immigration policies to better serve the national interest. FAIR works on policies related to improving border security, stopping illegal immigration, and promoting immigration levels consistent with the national interest more traditional rates of about 300,000 a year. FAIR produces publications and does research regarding the subject of immigration. There are also records related to The Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), America's only public interest law organization working exclusively to protect the legal rights, privileges, and property of U.S. citizens and their communities from injuries and damages caused by unlawful immigration.
