Doman Edwin Tucker, the son of Bill and Maymah Ruth Garst Tucker, was born on October 10, 1930.

He graduated high school from University School at ETSU. A gifted musician, he served for many years as an organist at East Unaka Christian Church in Johnson City and worked as an administrative assistant in the Chaplain's Service at the Veterans Administration at Mountain Home, now the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center. He married Norma Kitzmiller on October 27, 1957. Dorman Tucker died on January 26, 2007.
