Mervyn Moriarty was born in Brisbane, Qld. in 1937. He is an art teacher and artist, an abstract and figurative painter working in oil, acrilyic and pencil. In 1971 he founded the Eastons Art School, which became known in 1974 as the Australian Flying Art School (Eastons). In 1978 it became the Australian Flying Arts School at Kelvin Grove, Brisbane.
