The Planting Fields Foundation is responsible for the restoration and interpretation of Coe Hall at Planting Fields through a licencing agreement with the Long Island State Parks Commission. The Coe Foundation was founded by William Robertson Coe in 1938 for charitable purposes; it was dissolved in 1974 and its tangible property was transferred to the Planting Fields Foundation.
