Waldo Silas Rice was born May 7, 1895 in Bancroft, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and from the University of Georgia. Waldo Rice was professor of Animal Husbandry at the University of Georgia from 1921-1941. He was a Beef Cattle & Swine Specialist at the University of Georgia Agricultural Extension Service from 1941-1945.
