Hall, David, 1817-1889.
David Hall was born in Skaneateles, New York. In Jan. 1853 he travelled to Australia on the Eagle in search of gold. He did not find enough to pay for a return passage and, after Feb. 1855, his family never heard from him again. He died in Heathcote, Victoria, on 14 Sept. 1889 and was buried in an unmarked grave. Descendants placed a plaque on the grave in Apr. 1992.
