Scofield, Joseph Smith, 1809-1875.
Joseph Smith Scofield was born in Windham County, New York, on 2 August 1809. He was a member of the first company of Mormon pioneers who traveled to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. Scofield died in Bellevue, Washington County, Utah, on 8 March 1875.
