Dartmouth College. Phi Sigma Rho Society.
The literary society was founded by members of the Class of 1843 their sophomore year. Its purpose was "for mutual advancement in useful knowledge; ... and for the cultivation of the sublime art of oratory ..." The society met weekly for orations and debate. Tt was dissolved in 1842.
