Harry H. Huey was born in Indiana in September 1870. He worked as a photographer in Indianapolis in the 1890s, and went to Cuba to photograph the Spanish-American War in 1898. At the time of the 1910 census, he was working as a photographer in Fairbanks, Alaska.
