George A. Brownell (b. 1898) was the personal representative of President Truman to India and the Middle East in 1946, and to Mexico in 1949. He served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force in 1950, and as a consultant to the State Department from 1946 to 1947. Brownell died in 1984.
