Krush, Beth

Beth and Joseph P. Krush are well known for their work as a team of illustrators, and have illustrated the "Borrowers" series, several Beverly Cleary books, among other popular titles. Beth Krush taught at the Moore College of Art in addition to illustrating books alone. Joe Krush taught at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art, contributed illustrations to Reader's Digest and Saturday Evening Post, and also worked as an independent illustrator. During World War II, Krush served in the Office of Strategic Services as a graphic designer, and, in that assignment, attended the signing of the United Nations Charter and the Nuremberg trials.
