The Air Corps Act of 1926 changed the name of the U.S. Army Air Service to the U.S. Army Air Corps. Randolph Field (Tex.) was dedicated on June 20, 1930, and became the HeadQuarters of the Air Corps Training Center and primary flight school in 1931. (Information from U.S. Air Force website.).
