After she married and moved to Saybrook, Connecticut, which became the Chisholms' permanent residence, Helen J. Chisholm focused on free-lance writing, and maintained correspondence with family, friends and former colleagues. Helen Emily Chisholm was born December 25, 1911, and was educated at Russell Sage College and Howard University, where she received her Master of Science in Psychology.
