Dartmouth Literary & Philosophical Association.
The association was formed with an object of "mutual improvement of its members." Members presented, at least annually, a paper. Meeting agendas included "reviews of books and presentation of topics of literary or philosophical interest." Membership, by election, drew from the Dartmouth College faculty.
