Slaughter family.
Stephen F. Slaughter, a land owner in Ben Milam's Colony in present-day Bastrop County, Texas, died in 1838.
His son Agustin B. Slaughter married Annie Page Eanes in 1852. They settled on Slaughter Creek in Travis County, Texas, seven miles south of Austin, where they had four children. After serving as a captain in the First Texas Cavalry Volunteers during the Civil War, Agustin died June 24, 1866. Annie Page later married W. C. Lurry, had one son, Roy, and, after a divorce, married John J. McCuistion. Her eldest daughter, Cora, married Robert C. Barton of Hays County, Texas.
