Seward, Thomas, 1770-1852.
Captain Thomas Seward (1770-1852) of Boston, Mass., was a mariner who participated as a shipper/exporter and master of several trans-Atlantic ships. He also participated in the War of 1812 and was noted for his skill and courage. He married twice, Susanna Faxon ( -1808); and Susan Thompson ( -1860), with whom he had two children: Thomas, Jr. and Richard. Seward died, on 25 April 1852, in Weymouth, Mass.
