Presbytery of Georgia formed in 1821 from a division of the Presbytery of Hopewell, Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.; withdrew to the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America in 1861; continued in the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. after 1865; renamed Savannah Presbytery in 1867; continued by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) after 1983.
