Simpson, R. W. (Richard Wright), 1840-1912
Variant namesColonel Simpson, a legislator and lawyer of Anderson County; Confidential lawyer to Thomas G. Clemson, who wrote Clemson's will which made provision for an agricultural college. Col. Simpson, named as one of the original trustees, was also executor of Clemson's estate. He served as the 1st Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
