The United Evangelical Lutheran Church adopted its first and only constitution at the October 1896 organizing convention. This remained the only constitution throughout the UELC existence. Any changes made to the constitution were approved at the UELC annual conventions and were printed in the minutes. No example constitutions for districts or congregations were included in the UELC constitution.
