Variant namesCompany commanded by Capt. Peter Hitchcock. The regiment, which consisted of several Ohio National Guard units, was organized at Sandusky, in May 1864, to serve 100 days. It served guard duty at Johnson's Island and fought Confederate General John H. Morgan's forces in Kentucky during June, 1864.
