Joseph Weisberg was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 14, 1913. He left Philadelphia after finishing West Philadelphia High School for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. In 1941 he joined the military and was assigned to a public relations position with the US Army Air Corp at Kelly Field (San Antonio), Texas. He was reassigned to Tarrant Air Base in Fort Worth in 1942, and again in 1943 as a crew member to the B-24 Bomber Training Base in Liberal, Kansas. Returning to Fort Worth after an honorable discharge in 1945, he joined the work force until establishing his own marketing company. He sold his company to return to freelance writing and photojournalism in 1973. Mr. Weisberg passed away in March of 1983.
