Minerva Collins Wellington, of Hindman, Kentucky, was the first woman to graduate with a degree in Agriculture from the University of Kentucky. She attended UK from 1908 to 1911, when she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Ms. Collins was Vice-president of the Neville Literary Society, as well as Secretary of the Senior Class of 1911. She married Richard Wellington in 1912 and lived in Geneva, New York with their son and daughter.
