Combs, Cecil E. (Cecil Edward), 1912-1982
Variant namesCecil Edward Combs was born October 21, 1912, in Dallas, Texas. He received his commission as 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 1936, and advanced through grades to major general in the U.S. Air Force in 1961. He served as commandant of the Air Force Institute of Technology from 1957 to 1965. Combs died in December 1982 in San Antonio, Texas.
