Stiles, Clayton.
Clayton Stiles began his aviation career at Kelly Field, Texas, in 1930. He became a pilot for United Air Lines in 1933 and continued with this career after the war. During World War II he was commander of the 314th Troop Carrier Group and operated over North Africa, Sicily, and France. He also participated in the Korean Conflict. In 1953 he took over command of the 514th Troop Carrier Wing at Mitchell Air Force Base.
