Northern Pacific and Montana Railroad Company
Incorporated in 1888 under the laws of Montana Territory, the company operated a line between Logan and Butte, Mont., and many branch lines. In 1888 it bought the main lines of the Helena and Northern Railroad Company, the Helena, Boulder Valley and Butte Railway Company, the Drummond and Philipsburg Railroad Company, and the Missoula and Bitter Root Valley Railroad Company. The company was deeded to NP in 1898.
