Pianist and educator. Studied at the Liszt Academy in Budapest with Zoltán Kodály, Leo Weiner, and Árpád Szendy before embarking on her career as a professional pianist. During her performing career, she premiered works of contemporary composers, including Bartók.
She joined the faculty of The Juilliard School in 1965 where she taught until her death in 1973. Her students at Juilliard included Jeffrey Siegel, Tong Il Han, Anthony Paratore, and Donn-Alexandre Feder.
