Jean Anne Waterstradt is professor emerita of English from Brigham Young University. She was the author of the play "They Gladly Taught: 10 BYU Professors".

Ms. Waterstradt is a renowned scholar, author, and biographer, and contributor to Dialogue magazine. She earned her Associate's degree from Weber College, 1943; her Bachelor's degree from BYU, 1945; and her Master's degree from USC, 1955. She is a BYU Emeritus professor of English, and is the recipient of a WSU Distinguished Alumni Award, 2000. She is a member of Weber State University's Stewart Library Board of Directors, and Board Member (former chair) of the Friends of the Stewart Library Newsletter; she initiated the Celebrate Shakespeare! Symposium and later established an endowment to keep the tradition running.
