Controlling interest acquired by The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company on March 22, 1910. Leased the Wellston and Jackson Belt Railway Company on October 22, 1910. Leased the Pomeroy Belt Railway Company on May 20, 1911. From 1918 to 1920 The Hocking Valley Railway Company was controlled by the U.S. Railroad Administration. The company was conveyed to The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company on May 1, 1930.
