Arnold Gottlieb was born in 1882 in Vienna. In 1901 he immigrated to the United States and settled in New York. He became an influential builder in New York City. He died in 1968.
The philanthropist, producer, and playwright Beatrice Gottlieb née Schiff was born in 1889 in the United States into a German-Jewish family. As a playwright, she wrote under the pen name Beatrice Alliot.
In 1937, her play Brooklyn Biarritz had a brief run on Broadway.
Beatrice Gottlieb died in 1979.
