Silver, Edward D.

Edward D. Silver enrolled at Oregon State College in 1952 and earned a BS in science from Oregon State College in 1957; he was enrolled in the Navy ROTC program at Oregon State. After graduation, Silver joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a pilot instructor at Vance Air Force Base and in Saudia Arabia. Silver was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 391st Tactical Fighter Squadron. In 1968, Silver was declared missing in action in North Vietnam. Edward Dean Silver was born on February 2, 1934 in Batavia, Iowa. He grew up in Junction City, Oregon, and graduated from Junction City High School in 1952.
