West Chester Preparative Meeting of Friends (Hicksite : 1827-1956). First Day School.
West Chester Preparative Meeting was established in 1814. At the time of the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, two preparative meetings emerged. West Chester Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was established as West Chester Monthly Meeting in 1956 at the dissolution of Birmingham Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). West Chester Preparative Meeting at Chestnut Street, the former Orthodox meeting, merged with West Chester Monthly Meeting in 1964.
