Grimke family.
Residents of Charleston, S.C.; Thomas Smith Grimke (1786-1834) was the son of John Faucheraud Grimke (1752-1819) and Mary Smith (1764-1839), nephew of Benjamin S. Smith, brother of Henry Grimke (1801-1852) and father of Mary Grimke.
