Boaz, Willis L.
The Boaz family came to Texas from Murray, Kentucky in 1873. The family has numerous ties to Fort Worth and Tarrant County including the founding of Benbrook, Texas; the founding and growth of Southern Methodist University; and parks, streets and landmarks named for members of the Boaz family. Various members of the Boaz family were successful in land, cattle and the banking industry.
