Roberts family.
Family of Doctor Daniel Robert, father of Daniel Robert, Jr., and noted philanthropist Christopher Rhinelander Robert (1802-1878). Daniel Robert Sr. was born in New York City and later established a successful practice on the island of Dominica. He returned to New York in 1784 and purchased a large tract of land in Mastic, Brookhaven, Long Island.
