Citizens Action Committee for Fair Representation.
The Citizens Action Committee for Fair Representation was organizede in November, 1960 as an outgrowth of the Citizens Committee for a Constitutional Convention (see collection MS-16). Its basic tenets were: the Iowa House of Representatives should be apportioned on a population basis; the Iowa Senate should be established on an area or geographic basis; and there should be an automatic reapportionment every ten years (following each Federal census).
