The University of Michigan Club of Detroit is an alumni group founded with 170 members on October 31, 1895 as the "University of Michigan Association of Detroit." Since reorganization in 1911, the leadership of the Club has included men of diverse occupations and varying financial standing. More recently, the organization was renamed the University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit.
