Miller, Henry, 1814-1894
Henry Miller, pioneer nurseryman and florist, was born in Hanover, Germany in 1814 and emigrated to the United States while a young man. He crossed the plains to Oregon in 1853 and settled near the town of Milwaukie. He ran a large orchard for a few years, then moved into Portland and engaged in business as a florist and seedman. He died in Portland, Oregon in 1894.
