The First National Bank of Geneva opened in 1863. In 1919 it became the Geneva Trust Company and merged with the Farmers and Merchants Bank. In 1944 it merged with the Lincoln-Alliance Bank & Trust Company of Rochester and was known as the Geneva Trust Office. In 1945 the Lincoln-Alliance Bank & Trust Company and the Rochester Trust and Safe Deposit Company merged to form the Lincoln Rochester Trust Company.
