Nelson, Erik Alfred (Enrico), 1862-1939.
Southern Baptist missionary to Brazil, 1897-1938. Born in Sweden, Nelson grew up in Kansas. He organized Baptist churches in Belem and Manaus. His work was in the Amazon Valley. Nelson was dubbed "The Apostle of the Amazon," by his biographer, L.M. Bratcher.
