American Association of University Professors. Hartwick College Chapter.
The chapter was founded through the efforts of Forrest W. Miller in 1959. In 1960, Miller was chosen as the first President. Since then the AAUP Chapter has participated actively in the affairs of the faculty and college, and has been influential in determining faculty working conditions, establishing a minimum salary scale, insuring academic freedom and protecting the legitimate rights of both faculty and students.
