Decker, George Palmer, 1861-1936
Variant namesRochester, N.Y., attorney who together with the firm of John Van Voorhis' Sons (Charles and Eugene Van Voorhis) represented the Cayuga Nation in their claims against the state of New York.
In 1906, the attorneys filed a memorial to the state which was heard by the Commissioners of the Land Office, asking that cash profits realized by the state on sale of Cayuga land cessions dating from the treaty of 1789 be paid to the Nation, or that the state's indebtedness to the tribe be acknowledged.
