Morris Finder received his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Chicago in 1960 and went on to teach at institutions in the United States and abroad. He retired from the State University of New York in Albany. In 2004, Finder published Educating America: How Ralph W. Tyler Taught America to Teach, a biography of Tyler that charts his career and influence upon education and public schooling in the United States.
