Dolf E. Muehleisen (b. Nov. 21, 1909-d. Jan. 23, 1992), Major General in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from university in 1931. At the beginning of World War II, he helped to establish air patrols against submarines off the U.S. Atlantic Coast. He was commander, 1st Fighter Wing; chief of personnel for the 29th Air Force; and operations and plans officer for the 7th Air Force. In 1954 he assumed command of the 10th Air Division, and in 1959 became NORAD deputy chief of staff for plans and policy, later becoming commander, 29th NORAD Region/Air Division. General Muehleisen retired in 1965.
