Polo Historical Society (Polo, Ill.)
In 1907 the Polo Historical Society sent out a request for reminiscences from anyone who had memories of Abraham Lincoln and specifically his debate with Stephen Douglas at Freeport, Ill. in 1858. Those with memories were invited to share them at a series of programs given by the Society.
