The Joint Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture was first constituted as a standing committee of the General Court as of 1968 (Senate Journal, Jan 24/Feb 2, l967; House Journal, Jan 25/Jan 30, l967), succeeding the Joint Committee on Agriculture and Joint Committee on Natural Resources. The committee considers all matters pertaining to natural resources and the environment: air, water, and noise pollution and control thereof; hunting and fishing; conservation; solid and hazardous waste disposal; sewerage; agricultural and farm problems; and other matters referred.
