Samuel Andrew, Middlesex County, Mass., treasurer, 1683-1700, was in early life a well-known ship master. He also held numerous Cambridge town offices: constable, 1666; selectman, 1681-1693; town clerk, 1682-1693; and treasurer, 1694-1699.
