The Office of Student Services provides a wide range of services to meet the needs of students. These include housing, advisement, counseling and retention, financial services, student organizations and activities, health services, campus food service, and campus standards. These records cover the tenure of H. Elaine Mobley (Dean of Women, 1947- 1969); Samuel M. Basta (Dean of Men, and Dean of Student Affairs, 1955- 1971); and Roberta J. Barnes (Dean of Women, and Dean of Student Affairs, 1955-1988). In an organizational change, it was designated Office of Student Services in 1978/79.
